We have a new California driver in the WP family...Andy, much more successfully than Lindsay, passed both his written (theory) and driving (practical) test in only one try. When Andy quizzed Lindsay on the theory test...let's just say she wasn't up to snuff.

"Stop signs are used in place of roundabouts here in the U.S. which to an Englishman makes no sense at all as it uses up far more fuel and takes longer to get from A to B (because you have to stop all the time)". Amusingly, Andy's examiner expressed at the end of his test that it was pretty clear Stop signs caused him a slight challenge - he did stop but far too close to the intersection as opposed to a few meters before! This might take a little time to get used to...
