Postcards from Provence

From Aix, we travelled down the rest of Provence, and then to the Cote d'Azur. We visited a small hill town St. Paul de Vence (beautiful), Cannes (only go if invited to the film festival), and Nice (niiiiiiice).

How many of you hold out the camera with your hand and try to take a photo of yourself? We try this all the time, and many of our attempts capture neither us, nor the backdrop. However, this is one of our better ones, where you can see the stunning background of the hills - and the less stunning, but still smiling WPs.

This is really a shout-out to Lindsay's aunt and uncle, and cousins, who lived and grew up in this village along the Cote d'Azur. The only thing that would have made it better, is to have the Sweek family with us! Still beautiful.

Smile, Chewy - you're in Cannes!
Unfortunately, Andy was too young to be chosen as the original Hans Solo, but no doubt he would have been in the running. Lindsay is Ivana Humpalot, next to Austin Powers - if you make enough demands for it, you might get to see the photo.

You can barely see it, but our hotel is the pink one on the left. We had a fantastic day in Nice, where we rented bikes (and ran!) along the Promenade Des Anglais. So far, our goal of running in every city is intact (we're here to make you proud, SC:)
If pushed, we would gladly and selflessly volunteer to live here. We also had a great dinner with Andy's old friends from school - Ben and Suzy Kefford, and sister Jemma as well.
