Trying new adventures

So we have been making the most of the the weather and trying to get outside when we can. And, paddle boarding is all the rage here. So, over Labor Day Weekend (bank holiday) last weekend, we hired some paddle boards and went out on Donner Lake. The life jackets were mandatory and exceptionally cool-looking we thought(!)...

To the Webb-Peploe Clan, we've been trying to make plans to use Andy's birthday money to go kayaking on the Bay, but haven't found the right time. So, we put some of his birthday money toward paddle boarding in an equally beautiful place. We will happily introduce this to anyone that is able to join us during the summer months - it's a great work out for the core muscles.

Supposedly the next big thing, is yoga on paddle boards -stay tuned....

These next set of pictures are from a mountain bike ride we took around here. It was a real adventure with a few places that required dismounting!
Sam and Lindsay show their girl power.

What??!

Andy points out the very California sustainable practice of letting goats clear the hillsides of grass for fire safety. Goats happy? Check. Fire break with minimal effort? Check.

A pretty incredible view. (The background, not us).
